Mahindra launches digital campaign “SoundMapXUV500”

Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a part of the US $20.7 billion Mahindra Group, today announced the launch of a new audience engagement campaign titled “SoundMapXUV500” across some states of South India, namely the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Based on its head-turning design and feature-rich value proposition the XUV500 has seen encouraging acceptance in the key markets of South India ever since its inception.  The southern part of India is full of amazing places with signature sounds that have become symbols of its rich culture. Today with the launch of the SoundMap campaign, the brand endeavours to capture such sounds & the stories from this region. Together with acclaimed music director, Devi Sri Prasad(DSP), the brand has created three “Just Go” anthems that are first-in-industry music videos, inspired by such signature sounds. This is in line with the XUV500’s brand promise of “May your life be full of stories”. 

The SoundMap Campaign:

The contestants discovered their state by following the SoundMap – a list of iconic locations & their signature sounds across these states were shared by the XUV500 brand on www.mahindraXUV500.com/SoundMap. The contest was live from 12th December 2019 to 5th January 2020. Over 500 participants followed a simple registration process wherein their unique sound entries were shared with the brand, over WhatsApp, for evaluation. The 14 winning entries feature in the “Sounds Discovered By” section of the music videos, with their entries serving as inspiration for acclaimed music director Devi Sri Prasad (DSP). DSP used them to created an immersive sound track- the “Just Go” anthem for each of the regions i.e. Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
