Ultraviolette and Bolt Earth Expand Type-6 Fast Charging Network Across India

Ultraviolette Automotive and Bolt Earth have significantly expanded their interoperable Type-6 DC fast-charging network across India, crossing 130 operational chargers ahead of schedule.

The companies originally planned to deploy 50 chargers, but have already more than doubled that number as demand for electric motorcycles continues to rise in India.

Expansion Across Seven States

The fast-charging network is currently active across:

  • Karnataka
  • Kerala
  • Tamil Nadu
  • Telangana
  • Andhra Pradesh
  • Maharashtra
  • West Bengal

Ultraviolette and Bolt Earth now plan to add 200 more Type-6 DC fast chargers within the next two months to further strengthen charging access for electric motorcycle riders.

Designed for Ultraviolette Motorcycles

The charging network is fully compatible with:

  • Ultraviolette F77
  • Ultraviolette X-47

allowing riders to access fast charging on both the Ultraviolette and Bolt Earth platforms.

The companies say riders can:

  • Locate chargers in real time
  • Monitor charging sessions
  • Make digital payments directly through the apps

Focus on Interoperability and EV Growth

Ultraviolette says the expansion comes at a time when India is pushing harder towards:

  • Energy security
  • Reduced fuel imports
  • Cleaner mobility solutions

amid global crude oil uncertainty.

The companies believe interoperable charging infrastructure will play a major role in improving:

  • Rider confidence
  • Long-distance usability
  • EV adoption across India

Massive Future Plans

Bolt Earth has also revealed plans to deploy 10,000 Type-6 Blaze DC chargers over the next two years as India’s electric two-wheeler market continues to expand rapidly.

Final Take

The partnership between Ultraviolette Automotive and Bolt Earth feels like one of the more important developments for India’s premium electric motorcycle segment. Fast-charging availability remains one of the biggest concerns for EV buyers, and this rapid expansion could make electric motorcycles far more practical for everyday commuting as well as long-distance touring.
