New Audi Q7 Revealed with V6 Diesel Power, Seven Seats and Advanced Lighting Tech

Audi has unveiled the third-generation Q7, bringing a fresh design, updated technology and a revised diesel powertrain to its flagship SUV.

Building on more than two decades of Q7 heritage, the new model continues to focus on practicality, comfort and long-distance touring capability, while introducing several new digital and safety features.

Key Highlights:

  • Third-generation Audi Q7 officially revealed
  • Seven-seat layout remains standard
  • A six-seat version will also be introduced, featuring two individual captain seats in the second row
  • Powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine
  • Produces 294 hp and 630 Nm
  • Mild-hybrid (MHEV Plus) technology standard
  • Adaptive air suspension and all-wheel steering included
  • New panoramic roof with switchable transparency
  • 581-litre boot capacity, expandable to 1,980 litres

Familiar Formula, Fresh Design

The new Q7 retains its muscular SUV proportions but adopts Audi’s latest design language. A larger single-frame grille, slimmer digital lighting elements and more pronounced wheel arches give it a stronger road presence.

At the rear, connected lighting elements, digital OLED tail-lamps and redesigned bumpers help modernise the SUV’s appearance. Audi will also offer up to 23-inch alloy wheels, the largest ever fitted to a production Q7.

Spacious Seven-Seater Cabin

Practicality remains one of the Q7’s biggest strengths.

The SUV continues to offer seven seats as standard, with electrically adjustable seating and ISOFIX mounting points available across all passenger seats. The second-row seats slide and recline, while access to the third row remains easy even with child seats installed. A six-seater version is also made available for the first time by the company.

Other highlights include:

  • Panoramic sunroof with switchable transparency
  • Dual wireless smartphone charging
  • Bang & Olufsen 4D sound system
  • Passenger display
  • Integrated ChatGPT-powered voice assistant
  • Up to 1,980 litres of cargo capacity

V6 Diesel with Hybrid Assistance

At launch, the Q7 will be offered with a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine paired with Audi’s latest MHEV Plus mild-hybrid technology.

Engine Specifications:

  • 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel
  • 294 hp
  • 630 Nm
  • 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox
  • Quattro all-wheel drive
  • MHEV Plus hybrid assistance
  • An additional 23 hp electric boost
  • An additional 370 Nm electric torque

Audi says the mild-hybrid system improves both performance and efficiency, while an electric-powered compressor enhances throttle response and acceleration.

Packed with Technology

Lighting technology is one of the biggest talking points of the new Q7.

The SUV gets Digital Matrix LED headlights with micro-LED technology and third-generation OLED tail-lamps capable of displaying different light signatures and warning graphics. Audi has also introduced ground-projection turn indicators and advanced communication lighting designed to improve visibility for cyclists and pedestrians.

Driver assistance features include:

  • Adaptive Driving Assistant Plus
  • Automated parking functions
  • Reverse Assist
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • 360-degree camera
  • Emergency shoulder-steering assist
  • Trailer manoeuvring assist
