Porsche officially revealed 718 Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. Both GTS models are powered by 2.5 L turbo charged petrol engine producing 365 HP of power on both models. The regular version of Boxster and Cayman are powered by 2.0 L turbo charged engine. Porsche won’t be able to launch GTS version of 718 Boxster and Cayman in India. The 2.5 L engine on both these models attract higher excise duty thus resulting in higher price which will make these models close to 911 range which Porsche don’t want to happen. Porsche priced the regular models competitively thanks to the 2.0 L engine which received excise duty benefits.
